NORTH PARK REDEVELOPMENT

There is currently a proposal to subdivide the grounds of North Park mansion to allow the grounds to be redeveloped for high density "townhouses", apartments and an office block. Buildings up to three storeys would be permitted. I understand that the mansion itself and heritage listed gardens adjacent to the building is not threatened with demolition however a large number of other trees would go. A group has set up an online petition opposing this redevelopment.
